I just caught these guys a few nights ago at of aqll places, Jupiter, in Berkeley. Two sets of funkdafied wierdness. I saw them almost ten years ago in the City at a place that used to be called the Boomerang, then later Galaxy, and I don't even know what the place is called now. Anyhow, these guys are even better than they were then, and back then they were rediculously funky. Definately worth going to see them if they are playing anywhere near you.

Thu, December 16, 2004 - 8:44 PMthe broun fellinis definetly have going on. that bass player has an incredible crazy style all his own, the drummer is real tight and ... the sax player with his crazy effect pedals definetly takes it over the top i've seen them in so many clubs a few years back, it's good to hear they still get together for shows -

Sat, December 18, 2004 - 1:02 AMYeah, they smoke. Not only that, but they're all really nice cats too. I talked to them a bit during the break and after the show, and they were just real. It was nice. -

Mon, January 10, 2005 - 8:31 PMThat's fuckin pimp, dude. Bros Johnson are THE SHIT. I used to have this bad ass album by them, dunno what happpened to it, but it had this tune on it called The Devil, and it was like otherworldy type funk. The stuff didn't come out of humans. Humans are NOT that funky. They just can't be.
